Emily (The Devil Wears Prada) perhaps couldn’t bring her best self to the annual benefit for the Museum of Natural History, but she more than made up for it at the ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ premiere in New York City. Actress Emily Blunt turned heads in a sculpted Schiaparelli ball gown, paired with sparkling Mikimoto jewels.Emily Blunt walked the red carpet in a Schiaparelli haute couture gown from its spring/summer 2026 collection. The sculptural gown featured a fitted raffia bodice with a dramatic, tiered, voluminous ivory tulle skirt, giving it a high-fashion silhouette.

According to the designer, the gown took 4,000 hours of work. It featured 25,000 silk feathers. The dress is more like wearable art than a standard red-carpet gown. Schiaparelli’s creative director, Daniel Roseberry, who designed her custom sequin-covered gown at the 2024 Oscars, is the craftsman behind this new piece.

For jewels, Emily Blunt chose Mikimoto. She walked the red carpet at Lincoln Center, dripping in pearls. The choker from Mikimoto’s Les Pétales Place Vendôme Rosés collection was inspired by rose petals dancing in the wind. It featured 156 Akoya cultured pearls. The 18K rose gold choker also featured 4.86-carat diamond petals. The matching bracelet had three rows of Akoya cultured pearls, with 2.64 carats of diamonds. Both bracelets were made in 18K white gold and featured a total of 243 additional Akoya cultured pearls. The matching 18K gold earrings had 0.72 carats of diamonds and 7.5 mm Akoya cultured pearls.Talking to InStyle, Emily Blunt expressed how she instantly fell for the piece. “I immediately fell in love with the Mikimoto Les Pétales choker the moment I saw it — it’s such a special piece with the most exquisite detailing and design. As the originator of cultured pearls, I’ve long admired the Maison and was truly honoured to wear such an extraordinary creation that reflects a remarkable heritage.”Her stylist Jessica Paster added, “We’re seeing a strong resurgence in demand for pearl jewellery, particularly pieces that feel modern in their design. Mikimoto’s high jewellery perfectly embodies this: exceptional craftsmanship paired with the finest pearls in the world, creating pieces that feel both timeless and fresh. When you wear pearls, it has to be Mikimoto.”
