Today we announce the general availability of the second -generation AWS AWS racks, which means the latest innovations from the AWS for Edge Computing. This new generation includes support for the latest Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) with Amazon X86 calculation, new simplified scaling and configuration of network and accelerated network instances designed specifically for ultra-venue and high-performance workload. These improvements provide greater performance for a wide range of On-Pémises workload, such as basic financial service trading and Telecom 5G workload.
Customers such as AtheneAalth, Fanduel, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Mercado Libre, Liberty Latin America, Riot Games, Vector Limited and Wiwynn are already using the workload bases that must remain in place. The second -generation basics can provide low latent, local data processing or data residence, such as online multiplayer game servers, customer transactions, medical records, industry and production control system, telecommunications trading systems (BSS) and Edge Inference models of machine learning (ML). Customers can now use the latest generation of processes and advanced configurations of foundations to support faster processing, high memory capacity and increased network bandwidth.
The latest generation of instance EC2
We are pleased to announce local support for the latest generation (7th generation) x86-on-the-line AMAZON EC2 instances on AWS shelves, starting with the C7i calculated instances of optimized, M7i in general and memory bodies and R7i memory-optimized instances. These new instances provide twice the width of the PCP, memory and network bands and provide up to 40% better performance compared to the C5, M5 and R5 instances on previous outposts. They are driven 4. Intel Xeon Gen by scalable processors and is ideal for a wide range of workloads that require increased performance such as larger databases, more memory installation applications, advanced large data analysts, high -performance video and streaming and streaming CPUs based on CPU edges. Support for more latest instances of EC2 EC2, including instances of supported GPUs, will soon appear.
Simplified scale and network configuration
In our latest generation of the base we could again imagine network networks, which is easier and more scalable than ever. The core of this upgrade is our new network base stand that acts as a central center for all your computing and storage operations.
This new design brings three main advantages to the table. First, you can now scalance your computing resources independently of your network infrastructure, giving you greater flexibility and efficiency of load load growth. Secondly, we have built up the network resistance from the ground up, and the network stand has automatically manipulated the device failure to keep your maintenance smoothly. Third, connecting to your local environment and AWS regions is now to the toy-you can configure everhyththings from IPDRESSES to VLAN and BGP settings through the API direct interface or our updated console interface.
Amazon EC2 specialized instances with accelerated network
Introducing a new category of specialized instances of Amazon EC2 on the shelves of Outposts with an accelerated network. These instances are created by the purpose for the most sensitive to latency, computational and permeability-integers-critical workload on premise. To provide the best possible performance, in addition to the logical outpost network, these instances have a secondary physical network with Accelerator Accelerator connected to Top-Tra-Rack switches.
The first in this category are BMN-SF2E Instance designed for ultra-up latency with deterministic performance. New instances take place on Intel Sapphire Rapids (4 Gen Xeon Scalable) and provide 3.9 GHz performance in all cores with generous memory allocation – 8 GB RAM for each CPU core. We have equipped BMN-SF2E Examples with AMD Solarflare X2522 network card, which connects directly to the toe switch.
For customers of financial services, especially companies on the capital market, these cases offered deterministic networks via the native layer 2 (L2) multicast, Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and the same cable length. This allows customers to meet the regulatory requirements of fair trading and equal access while easy to connect to their existing business infrastructure.

The second typical instance, BMN-CX2It is optimized for high permeability and low latency. This instance contains NVIDIA ConnectX-7 400G NOS physically connected to high-speed top switches and adds up to 800 Gbps bare metal bandwidth that operates at almost line. With the support of the native layer 2 (L2) support for multi -way broadcasting and hardware PTP, this instance is ideal for high -performance workload, such as real market data distribution, risk analysis and Core Network Telecom 5G.

Bottom line, a new generation of outposts that bring increased performance, scalabibility and durability for a wide range of on-premiss workloads, even for the workload of critical missions with the strictest requirements for latency and curtailment. You can make your choice and start an order from the AWS management console. New cases maintain consistency with regional commitment by API support, AWS management consoles, automation, management and security control policies in the cloud and on-dremis, which increases the productivity of developers and IT efficiency.
What to know
When launched, the second generation racks can be covered with us and Canada and be back to 6 AWS regions include US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU West (London and France) and Asia Pacific (Singapore). Support for multiple countries and territories and regions of AWS comes early. When starting, the second generation base supports locally subset of AWS services found in previous bases. Support for other types of EC2 instances and other AWS services will come soon.
